Super Junior held a press conference for their SUPER SHOW 8 concert at Seoul Olympic Park KSPO Dome. It was the group’s first-ever “SUPER SHOW”, their globally famous concert series, since each member’s discharge from their respective military service.
The group shared their thoughts post-military service and expressed confidence in their new album, raising expectations. This is the first time in about ten years that they have gathered as a group, which made it even more meaningful.
In regard to this, Eunhyuk expressed happiness over all the members fulfilling their military service and shared that he had been waiting for a long time for the day to come.
Even though this was their first activity in so long, their concert tickets were sold out. Eunhyuk said, “… We are striving to show our new look and always challenge ourselves. Our fans have always supported and followed us.”
To raise fans’ anticipation for their new album Time_Slip, which is set to release in a couple of days, they performed new songs, including “SUPER Clap”, “The Crown”, “I think I”, “Somebody New”, and “Heads Up”. Kyuhyun shared that the album’s concept was retro, as they tried to give it an old-fashioned feeling.
With that goal in mind, Leeteuk was confident in their remake of “Show”, a song that was originally made popular by Kim Won Jun in the ’90s. Siwon added that he strongly felt that it was a song that could make a tired day feel lighter.
Ryeowook expressed his happiness at performing for the first time in a long time and gratitude for fans who listened to their songs.
Are you looking forward to hearing new music from Super Junior after all this time?
