The men’s magazine, Maxim Korea recently launched their 2021 Miss Maxim model contest in an effort to find a fresh face for their upcoming December spread. Every year, hundreds of models, popular internet broadcast jockeys (BJ), influencers, and former female idols sign up with the hopes of becoming Miss Maxim for the year.
Like the previous years, this year’s contest has been filled with head-to-head competition — but in a surprising turn of events, the woman that is currently in first place has been revealed to be an ordinary office worker.
Meet Park Soo Min, the current first placer of the 2021 Miss Maxim contest, who is turning heads for her girl-next-door vibes. While she does have a semi-online presence, with 23,000 Instagram followers, Park Soo Min didn’t apply for the competition as a model or an influencer. Rather, the hopeful model was revealed to be an ordinary office worker.
While the details of her occupation were not revealed, her seemingly “normal” job in the midst of influencers, models, and more came as a shock to many.
But don’t let her occupation fool you because Park Soo Min is leading the pack for a reason. Amongst the dozens of other potential Miss Maxim candidates, it didn’t take long for her to stand out with her tanned skin and healthy body.
The office worker isn’t shy about sharing bikini photos on her Instagram page, as well as other racy pictures. Her pretty visuals paired with her glamorous figure made it an easy win for Park Soo Min.
She still has a ways to go, as the contest just recently concluded its voting for round 4. Park Soo Min made it into the top 8, but she still has a few more rounds to defend her first place title.
Miss Maxim is a modeling competition open to any female applicant regardless of age, occupation, and height. The selected winner is not only given the opportunity to be on the cover of Maxim Korea, but she also gets to work as an exclusive model for the company. Many of the past Miss Maxim winners have gone on to work as formal models or as television personalities.
As the top 8 contestants continue to battle it out for the title, we wish them all the best of luck!
