Gong Yoo thanks his fans and sends them a farewell message from Kim Shin as “Goblin” comes to an end.
Actor Gong Yoo expressed his thanks to all of the loyal viewers, staff members, and co-stars of tvN Goblin ahead of the final episodes. Gong Yoo’s agency Management Soop released a short video that was taken on the final day of filming, which ended at 5 am on January 21.
He started off his message talking about his experience as the Goblin:
“Being a divine person and not a regular human, it was a burden since my character was different than ones I’ve had before. I felt some burden working with the excellent writer, directors, and staff but thanks to everyone’s love and support, we were able to safely and succesfully finish. As we wrap up, there’s always that feeling of regret where I think I could have done better. I felt that with this drama. It’s my first drama in a long time, I took a long time to decide on it. I promised to show everything I could. Thank you for loving me so much.”
Gong Yoo then made sure to thank all of the staff for their hard work:
“I am so grateful to the always hard working writer and producers whose combination together is golden. Also thank you to all of the staff members who worked so hard on the filming sites. Without you all, there would be no Goblin and no Kim Shin. I sincerely thank you for this opportunity.”
He also thanked all the co-stars who accompanied him in his journey throughout the film:
“I usually get embarassed saying this, but to the junior and senior actors who joined me in Goblin; it was an honor, and thank you. It was a lonely but great experience.”
Gong Yoo then sent his fans a message as Kim Shin, the goblin himself:
“All of the time spent with you was dazzling. Because the days were good, because they were bad, and because they were perfect, I loved each and every one of them.”
The last two episodes of “Goblin”; ep 15 and ep 16 are set to air on January 21.
