BLACKPINK and BTS Dominate 2016’s Most Viewed Stages List

BLACKPINK and BTS continue to reach higher levels of success as they had the most viewed live stages.

The 18 most viewed live stages were compiled, and BTS took four spots while BLACKPINK had 7. With all the videos that were included on the list, BLACKPINK totaled 58,458,427 video views, and BTS totaled 57, 256,977 views. Other artists that made the list were TWICE, SEVENTEEN, Red Velvet, I.O.I and GFRIEND.

Since debuting BLACKPINK have been referred to as Monster Rookies, and these figures highlight their successful careers. BTS, meanwhile, continues to be successful and has proven that their massive popularity isn’t going away anytime soon.

1. BLACKPINK – Boombayah (Inkigayo)

Black Pink’s “Boombayah” performance reached over 13 million views, giving them first place on the list of moved watched live K-Pop performances. The choreography was on point, yet the performance was full of excitement and energy from all of the members.

2. BTS – Perfect Man (MBC Music Festival)

BTS’s performance of Shinhwa‘s “Perfect Man” will make you reminisce on 2002 when the first generation boy group released the song. The synchronization, outfits, line distribution and stage presence of the members were so similar to the original, that even a member of Shinhwa praised the boy group.  This performance has since then become one of BTS’s most popular performances of their career.

3. Blood Sweat & Tears (M COUNTDOWN)

BTS’s comeback stage for “Blood Sweat & Tears” was full of wonderful vocals, and the synchronization that the group is known for. The members were also dressed in outfits that looked as if they were royalty.

4. BLACKPINK – Whistle (Inkigayo)

BLACKPINK’s performance of “Whistle” was full of unique shots with impressive stage props.  The members of BLACKPINK also performed with energy and had many cool vibes.

5. BLACKPINK – Playing with Fire (Inkigayo)

BLACKPINK’s “Playing with Fire” performance undeniably showcased the YG Entertainment girl group’s talents. Each member showed that the idol group has great dancing skills, and even the rap-line are also talented singers as well.

6. TWICE – Cheer Up (M Countdown)

TWICE’s comeback stage for “Cheer Up” was full of refreshing, fun, and cute dance moves.  TWICE’s popularity has sky-rocketed since their debut, and their vibrant performances make it all well deserving.

7.  TWICE – Me Gustas Tu (Music Core)

TWICE’s cover of GFRIEND‘s “Me Gustas Tu” showcased the member’s sweet voices and dance skills.  They performed it as if it were their own song.

8. BTS – 21th Century Girls (M Countdown)

BTS’s comeback for their title song “Blood Sweat & Tears” may have serious vibes, but “21st Century Girls” is the complete opposite.  The stage was fun, exciting, and the choreography was both skilled and amusing to watch.
