1. Jun Ji Hyun
Jun Ji Hyun has been active since 1997, starting off as a commercial actress and model. In 2001, she gained fame for her role in the comedy film My Sassy Girl, which to this day still remains as one of the highest-gross Korean comedy off all time. She is also active in dramas, starring in top shows such as My Love From The Star and The Legend of the Blue Sea. She has also made her Hollywood debut in 2006 with the movie Blood: The Last Vampire. She is definitely a successful Hallyu star!
2. Lee Hyori
Known as the “Nation’s Fairy”, Lee Hyori made her debut in 1998 as a member of girl group Fin.K.L. The group became one of the most successful and popular South Korean girl groups of all-time. In 2003, she debuted as a solo artist. Her single, “10 Minutes”, earned her seven Daesangs and the song went viral all-over South Korea, birthing the “Hyori Syndrome”. She made her acting debut in 2005 with Three Leaf Clover. Now, not only is the Hallyu Star active in music and film, she also works as a presenter, variety show star, and activist.
