Super Junior’s Kyuhyun discusses the process of creating his solo album

Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun revealed in his latest showcase and press conference that he had secretly prepared his first mini album At Gwanghwamun.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun recently made his solo debut with his music video, At Gwanghwamun. In addition to his popular music video, Kyuhyun’s first mini album was released on November 13th midnight, which also resulted in Kyuhyun trending as #1 on Twitter for his album.

Kyuhyun also attended his showcase and press conference, where he stated that he had been working on his album secretly for the past 2 years. “At first I was pressured for being the first member from Super Junior to release a solo album but I put that thought behind me now. The other members also supported me. The fans will support us more if I become successful and think ‘What? Super Junior can go solo?'”

Kyuhyun was asked whether or not he felt there was competition among the members to go solo. He replied, “I prepared in secret for my album for 2 years. I kept it a secret from the members because they would probably be jealous. I thought that Yesung would be jealous but he was actually the first one to call and congratulate me when my album was released.”

At Gwanghwamun consists of seven tracks which include “At Gwanghwamun” and “Eternal Sunshine.” The album is currently available for purchase both in store and online.
