STAYC’s “Phone Ban” Is Still In Effect Despite Getting Their First Win, And Fans Are Not Happy

They still don’t have their cell phones, despite fans working hard to give them their first-ever win.

The members of STAYC still haven’t gotten their phones back despite fulfilling their CEO’s conditions for it, and fans are angrily calling out High Up Entertainment for not keeping their promises.

STAYC recently got their first-ever win with their latest comeback “Stereotype” on SBS‘s The Show, and had an emotional encore stage as they celebrated this win!

Swiths [STAYC’s fandom name] everywhere were extremely happy for the girls, and more than that, were excited for them to finally get their phones back! Back in April 2021, STAYC guested on Midnight Idol, where they revealed that their CEO Black Eyed Pilseung had banned them from using phones until they get their first win.

And now that they received their first win, fans were under the impression that the members would finally be able to use their phones, but found out that their CEO would only return their phones to them if they won on a public broadcasting channel, i.e., KBS‘s Music Bank, MBC‘s Music Core or SBS’s Inkigayo.

Fans feel this is unfair because even though they have already scored another win on MBC’s Show Champion, they still have to achieve more in order to get their phones, something that’s seen as a fundamental asset in 2021. It’s also harder to win on public broadcast music shows considering the considerable competition they would have to face there, and also undermines the hard work that fans put in in order to get them the wins they have in the first place.

Many fans have been expressing their discontentment about the situation on social media.

Hopefully, STAYC get their phones back ASAP!
