In episode 11, netizens couldn’t contain their excitement when it looked like the duo’s romance was going to be taken to the next level. After what seemed like forever, netizens were finally treated to a kiss between Son Suk Ku and Kim Ji Won.

However, many were disappointed as not only was it filmed from afar and the setting was dark, but it almost seemed impossible to see if the actors were really kissing.

Luckily, JTBC was on hand to ensure that netizens weren’t left feeling empty after the kiss. On JTBC’s YouTube channel, they released some new footage while filming the scene.

From the very beginning, when they were rehearsing and planning for the kiss, it was definitely worlds away from the romantic scene netizens saw on the screen.

Before filming started, Son Suk Ku was speaking with the director and trying to figure out the best way to approach the kiss when they were turning their heads. The actor demonstrated whether they should do it slowly or quickly, and the rest of the cast couldn’t stop laughing.

When the director said it would be better slowly, Son Suk Ku explained that he didn’t think Kim Ji Won could do it, “Because it’s too cringey.” It seemed as if she agreed and added, “I think I’m going to laugh when you turn around.

The duo even joked that the movements seemed more like something out of Squid Game, comparing it to the movements of the creepy doll Younghee.

As they started filming, the duo couldn’t stop laughing as they tried to be creative and think of ways to improve the scene.

The duo managed to do the kiss perfectly, and netizens finally got to see what it really looked like in the proper light. Despite the fun the two actors had, they got into the character when the cameras were rolling and gave fans a kiss that should’ve been shown properly to showcase the chemistry.

When the video was posted, netizens couldn’t hide their gratitude that the kiss was shown fully. Many shared that they wondered if it was even a proper kiss when it was shown on the episode but this confirmed it.

Not only did Son Suk Ku and Kim Ji Won showcase their chemistry when the cameras were rolling, but they have an adorable friendship off-screen as well. Hopefully, there are plenty more moments like this, and the next kiss will be clearer.
