Shinsegae Backs Down in Dispute Against BigHit Over the Copyright to “BTS”

Following the revelation that BigHit and Shinsegae were in a copyright dispute over “BTS”, Shinsegae recently made the announcement that they will give up on the trademark rights.

According to Newsen, Shinsegae Department Store will give up on the dispute and are wishing BTS the best.

Ahead of this update, BigHit announced that they would continue to fight against another company using BTS’s brand power through copyright.

BigHit considers any unauthorized use of copyrights related to BTS or attempts of a 3rd parties trying to acquire its rights as a serious issue.
