SHINee confirms Japan concert dates for 2015 at the Tokyo Dome

SHINee will be heading to Japan for their solo concert, set to be held in Tokyo Dome in March next year!

It has been confirmed that SHINee will be holding their concert named SHINee WORLD 2014~I’m Your Boy~Special Edition in TOKYO DOME on March 14th and 15th, 2015!

This will be SHINee’s first time performing at Tokyo Dome for a solo concert, although they have been there with other SM artists for SMTOWN concerts previously. In 2012, SHINee attracted a total of 200,000 audience members for their first arena tour, while in 2013 they attracted 220,000 for their second arena tour. The group made their Japanese debut 3 years ago in 2011.

After releasing their “I’m Your Boy” album in Japan, the group has shown their massive popularity as they held on to the number one spot of Oricon’s Album Daily Chart. Upon the album release, SHINee has been touring around Japan for their special SHINee WORLD 2014 ~I’m Your Boy~ concert since September, which will have its finale on December 14th, after visiting 20 cities and 30 performances.

As the name suggests, the special edition concert scheduled for March will be different from those held this year, as SHINee will also be performing a stage for their new song as well. They are also planning to release their 11th Japanese single on March 11th, 2015.

Tokyo Dome has a 55,000 seating capacity, and many idols aim to perform there due to the large size of the venue. Several K-Pop idols have performed in the concert venue, mainly for mixed concerts with many other groups attending. However, it is not easy for a group to hold a solo concerts there; only Big Bang, Super Junior, TVXQ, 2PM, JYJ, and KARA have done so over the past 3 years.

In other news, SHINee member Kim Jong Hyun recently sang an OST song for upcoming SBS drama Birth of a Beauty.
