Park Hyung Sik Makes Reference To His And Han So Hee’s Previous K-Dramas In “Soundtrack #1”

Did you catch the references?

Anticipated new Disney+ K-Drama Soundtrack #1 has officially premiered in select regions! It stars Han So Hee as lyricist Lee Eun Soo and Park Hyung Sik as photographer Han Seon Woo.

Viewers are loving Soundtrack 1 already!

And, some have picked up on a cute reference made by Hyung Sik’s character, Seon Woo.

Seon Woo teasingly calls out his friend, Eun Soo, in one scene. He tells her that she doesn’t know anything about love.

You know nothing about unrequited love…

— Han Seon Woo

The reason why? She’s not watching the traditional romantic K-Dramas. Instead, she watches thrillers, specifically about revenge or zombies.

Because you only watch dramas about revenge or flesh-eating zombies.

This is, of course, a reference to both actors’ most recent K-Dramas.

Han So Hee starred in Netflix’s crime thriller My Name in October 2021. She portrayed a woman determined to get revenge on behalf of her father.

The story about a woman who joins an organized crime ring and infiltrates the police as an undercover agent in order to find out the truth about her father’s death.

The next month, Park Hyung Sik returned to acting after discharging from the military. He starred as a police detective in horror fantasy zombie-themed K-Drama Happiness.

An apocalyptic thriller that takes place in a time in which infectious diseases have become the new normal.

Some viewers even interpreted Seon Woo’s line, “You know nothing about unrequited love,” as a reference to Han So Hee’s iconic K-Drama Nevertheless.

The intoxicating charm of a flirtatious art school classmate pulls a reluctant love cynic into a friends-with-benefits relationship.

Either way, fans of Soundtrack 1 really appreciate the subtle nod to the actors’ previous hit dramas!

Soundtrack 1 premiered on March 23, 2022. It is, unfortunately, just four episodes and is released every Wednesday until April 13. Hopefully, it will later be released everywhere soon as Snowdrop was too at one time only in select countries for Disney+. For now, it is exclusively on Disney+ but only in selected territories.
