One of the operators of the “Nth Rooms”, God-God (operating nickname) has been sentenced to lifetime imprisonment for his heinous crimes. For those not yet in the know, the “Nth Rooms” were a series of Telegram chat rooms that circulated pornography and sexual content that were produced from coercion and blackmail.

God-God, who’s real name is Moon Hyung Wook, is only 24 years old this year. Many around him believed him to be a simple university student, making the crimes he committed all the more horrifying. The court has also ordered his use of electronic devices to be restricted and under probation.

The Daegu district court had sentenced him on the account that he has committed countless crimes against multiple victims to satisfy himself personally. From between 2017 to early 2020, he had exploited 21 underaged victims and produced sexually explicit videos from the content they had sent him, blackmailing them with threats to send the videos to their parents.

Moon Hyung Wook had distributed a total of 3762 videos through the “Nth Rooms” which opened from February 2019. His trial had been going on for months due to the public’s demand for a stronger sentence to be served. It looks like he’s finally getting his just deserts.
