The SBS Gayo Daejeon was filled with many amazing stages, revealing different variations of idols’ hit tracks of the year, though the award and music show did not go without incidents.
On December 21st, a minor stage incident occurred following rookie girl group Lovelyz’s “Candy Jelly Love” stage when their microphones failed to turn off subsequently after the end of their stage.
WINNER, YG Entertainment’s popular rookie male group of the year, took the stage after Lovelyz. The boys of WINNER could not be heard for the first few seconds of their stage, despite obviously singing into their microphones. Instead, Lovelyz could be heard giving each other encouraging words such as “Good work” and “Thank you” following their performance from backstage through their microphones.
Despite the minor incident, WINNER continued to perform without hesitation as their microphones were properly turned on soon afterwards.
The 2014 SBS Gayo Daejeon reestablished their awards charts this year after abolishing them in 2006.
