Lee Hyun Woo Says Goodbye To Entertainment, Prepares To Join Army Next Month

He will enlist this February.

Actor Lee Hyun Woo, who stole many people’s hearts in tvN’s The Liar and His Lover, has reportedly enlisted in the Korean army and is waiting to be summoned in February 2018.

He has reportedly already completed his in-person interview with the Korean Military officials, choosing not to delay his enlistment like many other celebrities in Korea. Celebrities usually tend to delay their enlistment during the height of their careers, choosing to take on more projects instead of going on a hiatus for 2 years.

However, it seems that Lee Hyun Woo would rather complete his military duty sooner than later and come back ready to take on more projects as a more mature male.

Lee Hyun Woo first started acting as a child, appearing in many films and K-Dramas with his big breakout role being in 2013 alongside Kim Soo Hyun on Secretly, Greatly.

He also received praise for his memorable role as music producer Han Gyul, alongside Red Velvet‘s Joy on tvN’s The Liar and His Lover.

We can’t wait to see him back on the big screen after his enlistment!
