Kim So Yeon Reportedly To Replace Jo Bo Ah As Female Lead For “Tale Of The Nine-Tailed” Opposite Lee Dong Wook

She will be starring opposite Lee Dong Wook.

Previously it was reported that Jo Bo Ah would not be continuing her role as the female lead for the upcoming seasons of Tale Of The Nine-Tailed. The show made a splash with its first season in 2020 October, starring Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum and Jo Bo Ah. The show was recently confirmed for a second and third season, but it was reported that its female lead, Jo Bo Ah, will not be reprising her role as the lovable Nam Ji Ah.

Representatives from the industry stated to Korean media outlet Sports Chosun on October 27, 2021, that Kim So Yeon will be joining the franchise as the new female lead for Season 2. She will likely play a new character as Season 2 and 3 both take place in different eras from Season 1. While Season 1 took place in modern day and time, Season 2 and 3 will cross into Sageuk and the Japanese Occupational Era. It is not confirmed if Kim So Yeon’s character will be reprised in Season 3 yet.

Kim So Yeon received much love from her character as Cheon Seo Jin in the Penthouse franchise. It is expected that she will bring much to the plate for Tale of The Nine-Tailed! On the other hand, both Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum will be continuing their roles.

Kim So Yeon’s company has yet to give a statement on the matter.
