Jay Park Accepts Game Changer Award And Performs Special Set For The Smithsonian Celebration of Asian Pacific Americans

He was one of the four honourees of the night.

On May 18, Jay Park was honoured with the inaugural Game Changer Award at the Smithsonian Celebration of Asian Pacific Americans.

Jay Park was honoured for his work as an artist, songwriter, choreographer and entrepreneur.

The charismatic performer also treated guests to a special performance, featuring hits like “Justin Bieber”, “All I Wanna Do”, “Mommae”, “K-TOWN”, and “Yacht.”

The Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center held its first annual event in Los Angeles on May 18, with the goal of raising awareness about the many contributions of Asian Pacific Americans. They also announced the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Keystone Initiative and raise funds for a permanent Asian Pacific American gallery at the Smithsonian.

The other honourees included Chef Helena An and the An Family, Grammy-nominated R&B jazz band Hiroshima, and Vivek Ranadive, founder of TIBCO and Sacramento Kings owner.
