On the 24th of August, star-voting service, Idolpick, announced the results of the votes they had gotten for the week. In their weekly voting service, Kang Daniel won first place with a total of 79,714 votes for the top male idol category.
This does not come as a surprise, given that his recent album, MAGENTA, saw sales of over 323,167 copies while his music video for “Who U Are” hit over 10,000,000 views in just 5 days.
On the other hand, Idolpick ran a special vote that week, to pick the best global idol group. The votes ran from the 10th of August to the 23rd, giving fans a total of two weeks to vote. IZ*ONE won first place for the category with a total of 46,142 votes.
As the winner, the app service rewarded IZ*ONE’s fans with a week’s worth of advertisement on a huge flatscreen in the middle of one of Korea’s most popular districts, Myungdong. The screen will be up from the 31st of August to the 6th of September, opposite Myungdong’s Lotte Department Store Avenuel.
This is not the first time WIZ*ONEs have pulled off something amazing for the girls – they had previously won the Top of the Top charts on Idolpick, winning the girls two weeks worth of public advertisement in Myungdong, that aired from the 10th of August to the 23rd. It seems that WIZ*ONEs are determined to do the best for their girls while they can! Check out the advertisement below.
