Fellow Musical Actors Praise INFINITE’s Sunggyu For His Role In “Gwanghwamun Sonata”

Kim Sunggyu has proved his talent as a musical actor.

For this season of the musical Gwanghwamun Sonata, INFINITE’s Sunggyu took on the challenge of a different role of Wolha. Before the show began, he stated, “I have a deep relationship with this musical so I’m happy to be a part of it again.”

Many of the fellow actors on the show praised Sunggyu for his role, proving his talent and potential. Actor Kang Pil Seok stated, “In the case of Kim Sunggyu, I thought, ‘He is a really amazing guy.’ Unlike the first two mentioned, he is cute. Sunggyu is a bit younger. He does a lot of aegyo that’s cute and does his work nicely. I think he is an actor that was made for jukebox musicals.”

Yoon Do Hyun described Kim Sunggyu as “the youngest Wolha.” He commented, “He is cute and aggressive just like Young Wolha. Because he was a singer, he also seems to have confidence in the music. Working with many different Wolha’s was the factor that kept Myungwoo from losing his freshness.”

In another interview Yoon Do Hyun added, “Kim Sunggyu is is cute and full of mischief. His vocals also stand out.” On the other hand, the musical will open from July 16 to September 5 at the Seoul Arts Center Opera Theater.
