EXO Tests Negative For COVID-19, Kai To Miss Out On SuperM Online Concert Due To Self-Quarantine

Kai was scheduled for a concert.

It was previously reported that EXO member, Xiumin, had tested positive for COVID-19. He has since been isolated and is receiving treatment. On the other hand, the rest of the EXO members immediately were sent for testing. While their results came back negative, they will be undergoing self-quarantine as a preventative measure. This resulted in schedules being canceled.

On August 6, 2021, SM Entertainment released a statement to address the news.

This is SM Enteratinment. Xiumin tested positive for COVID-19 on August 5, and so the other members and staff in charge of them went for the test as well and everyone else received negative results today. Although everyone tested negative, they will be self-quarantined for 2 weeks and we will be diligently following all the quarantine rules. Thank you.

On the other hand, Kai was originally scheduled for an appearance for Prudential x SuperM’s Virtual Concert and Fan Meet to take place on August 7, 2021. However, given the circumstances, it is unlikely he can participate. We hope for Xiumin’s speedy recovery!
