Coachella Might Have Been Postponed, But BLINKS Are Getting A Pleasant Surprise

For those who wanted to see their Coachella performance all over again…

Coachella, like most concerts and festivals in the next month or two, had to be postponed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was originally supposed to take place this month, but is now set to take place in October, hopefully when all of this craziness is over with.

Some fans have expressed their wishes to turn back time, and re-watch BLACKPINK‘s iconic performance from last year. As the first female K-Pop group to perform at the event, the occurrence was definitely groundbreaking, and will hopefully help lead the way for other K-Pop acts to perform at it and other Western festivals. In fact, BIGBANG is on the line-up for this year’s show.

Despite postponing the event, the people behind Coachella have announced some exciting news — they will be releasing a documentary on the event soon, called Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert. And BLINKs can rejoice, because BLACKPINK will be included in the film! They confirmed the group’s appearance in the film on their official Twitter account recently, saying “Don’t be sad blinks. You can see them in the Coachella doc next Friday” with the hashtag #couchella.

While it’s not quite the same as seeing them live, it’s better than nothing! And it’s great to see that their performance will have a permanent presence in the show’s history. The documentary is set to release on April 10 at 12 PM PST, so keep an eye out for that!
