Today, BTS delivered a message of hope at the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as special presidential envoys to President Moon Jae In.
For the first time in nearly two years, BTS flew overseas to New York, where they gave a special performance of “Permission to Dance” and spoke from the heart about the life-changing COVID-19 pandemic.
Each member was given the opportunity to share his thoughts and inspire everyone who tuned in to watch the broadcast.
Although the main purpose of BTS’s speech was to spread hope, the members didn’t shy away from bringing up important topics that coincide with the pandemic. J-Hope confirmed that all seven BTS members are vaccinated, setting an example for others.
He also mentioned climate change, an issue that is, at times, controversial and has been swept to the sidelines in the wake of COVID-19.
As RM says here, many young people are dedicating themselves to solving environmental issues and making the world a better, healthier place for future generations.
