BTS Share Thoughts About First Offline Concert In 2 Years At Global Press Conference In L.A.

It’s been a long time coming but they are finally back!

On November 28 local time, K-Pop idol group BTS held a global conference ahead of the BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE- LA concert at the SoFi Stadium in L.A. During the press conference, oldest member Jin stated, “It’s our first time holding a press conference abroad since Wembley, so I’m nervous and excited. We hope that with this concert, we will be able to hold more concerts with ARMY. After this concert, I have a desire to hold a concert in Korea so please look forward to our concerts.”

Jungkook shared that he in turn received a lot of strength through the songs they released during the pandemic.

I am thankful for having such a meaningful time together. We have received a lot of love this year continuing from last year. We released songs that contained hard and honest feelings after the pandemic started, and in turn we received a lot of strength because a lot of people loved it. We will pour that energy into today’s performance.

Leader RM revealed that he wanted to show how much BTS has grown over the past two years.

I was moved after meeting with the fans yesterday. We recently won ‘Artist of the Year’ at the AMAs and nominated at the Grammys, so it was a meaningful year for us as artists. Since starting in Korea, it seems that language, identity, and barriers still seem to exist. We always showed our music and performances with sincerity and it seems that these small moments gathered together to today’s miracle. Doing these offline concerts is the beginning of a new chapter. The past two years have been a tough time for everyone. It was a difficult time for BTS and ARMYs, but we also want to show how BTS has grown over the past two years with this concert.

Suga expressed that BTS’s strength was that they could overcome any obstacles without fear because of their hard work and effort.

I was so excited to be doing an offline concert for the first time in two years since COVID, and while performing yesterday, I thought, ‘Is this a dream?’ I was nervous because it had been such a long time. It seems like things like this have always happened since my debut eight years ago and our U.S. debut four years ago. None of this was easy. At that time, we had to overcome barriers by hard work. So no matter what obstacles there are in the future, I think our strength is that we can face them without fear through our efforts. We will continue to overcome these barriers in the future. Unlike when we visited the U.N., we focused on our performance and songs and prepared a lot for this concert.

Jimin was happy to be back on stage right where they were supposed to be.

We were lethargic because we haven’t been able to meet our fans in person. It seems like we tried to do various things and do what we can. We worked hard to comfort everyone who is with us, and to comfort ourselves as well too. After standing on stage for the first time in a long time, we felt like we were back to where we were supposed to be. I hope that the time will come soon when many people can return to their position and start anew.

J-Hope revealed that although it is an honor to be the voice of this generation, there is a huge responsibility that comes with it.

It’s strange to be the voice of a generation and represent it, but it also comes with a great responsibility. It’s a honor to be able to make and share music that we love and that is the power of BTS. I put a lot of effort and practice into this concert to show that strength and energy without any doubt. I hope you enjoy it. It’s been a long time since we’ve had an offline concert, and fans from not only the U.S., but also Korea have come to the show, so we hope that they can forget the feelings of exhaustion and depression and just have a good time.

V was happy to be back on stage and wished nothing more that for ARMYs to be happy.

It feels so good to be able to hold an offline concert for the first time in two years. The past two years have been very sad and difficult for us because our normal lives were taken away from us. I came here with a lot excitement and I want to give happy energy to ARMYs.

On the other hand, BTS will perform on November 28, December 1, and December 2 for their BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE- LA concert tour before returning to Korea.
