In a recent press release, Coway announced that BTS have been selected as the brand’s new global ambassadors.
Established in 1989, Coway is a Korean appliance company that manufactures a range of household products, including water purifiers, air purifiers, and bathroom bidets. Alongside South Korea, the brand operates in the United States, China, Thailand, and Malaysia. On top of its product line, Coway is also known for being one of the world’s leading eco-friendly appliance brands, honored by multiple organizations for its efforts to combat climate change and increase sustainability.
Back in 2019, Coway was acquired by Netmarble. Owned by Bang Jun Hyuk, the brother of Big Hit Entertainment‘s CEO Bang Si Hyuk, Netmarble is the company behind the BTS WORLD mobile game.
According to Coway’s press release, the brand selected BTS as global ambassadors because they’re loved by men and women of all ages and have a strong fandom behind them. Coway plans to work with BTS to improve the company’s brand awareness across the world.

Through various content that will allow friendly communication with consumers and the expansion of digital marketing, we will concentrate on strengthening global competitive edge.

As part of their ambassadorship, BTS will be appearing in advertisements and various digital content for Coway. Their first campaign together is expected to hit social media and television at the end of March.
BTS follows in the footsteps of Goblin actor Gong Yoo, who became Coway’s ambassador in 2017.
Prior to that, Girls’ Generation became Coway ambassadors in 2011.
They were followed by 2PM, who joined the brand in 2012.
