BLACKPINK Become Guinness World Record Official With 5 New Record Titles

They have 5 new records registered in their name!

Guinness World Records has officially registered BLACKPINK with a series of brand new record titles!

To call BLACKPINK’s latest comeback a success would be a serious understatement. Since dropping their pre-release single “How You Like That”, they’ve taken over the charts both domestically and internationally, broken a whole bunch of records, and set some records that were history firsts as well.

While their list of achievements is already incredibly long, now BLACKPINK have officially added multiple world record titles to their list! On June 30, Guinness World Records officially announced that they’d registered BLACKPINK with 5 record titles.

They revealed that with over 86.3 million views in the first day of release, “How You Like That” set the records for “most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours,” “most viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours,” and “most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-Pop group.”

While those three titles were already major achievements, Guinness also announced two more records for the powerhouse group! After confirming with YouTube that the live premiere of “How You Like That” reached 1.66 million peak concurrent viewers, Guinness recognized BLACKPINK with the record for “most viewers for the premiere of a video on YouTube” as well as the record for “most viewers for the premiere of a music video on YouTube.”

With these two live premiere entries, BLACKPINK now have 5 new world record titles with Guinness World Records! Congratulations BLACKPINK!
