ATEEZ’s Hongjoong’s Cover Of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” Has Reached 1 Million Views

Congratulations, Hongjoong!

ATEEZ‘s leader and captain Hongjoong is an incredibly multi-talented person. While he is most known for his rapping abilities, he’s also a skilled producer, songwriter, singer, and many other things both within music and outside of it!

Since late 2019, he has been releasing covers of songs by other artists in a series called BY. HONGJOONG. So far, he has five videos in the series, and one of them just hit a huge milestone!

As of just a short while ago, Hongjoong’s first solo cover, which was David Bowie‘s “Space Oddity”, has reached one million views!

This is a huge accomplishment, but it’s also not the first of his BY. HONGJOONG videos to reach this many views. His third cover, “Black or White” by Michael Jackson, already reached one million views previous to this one.

Not only that, but his most recent cover of Linkin Park‘s “Numb” is currently at 2.2 million views!

His two remaining covers — “Purple Rain” by Prince and “모처럼” by Yoon Jong Shin — have 667,000 and 629,000 views respectively.

What makes Hongjoong’s covers extra special and impressive is the way he usually puts his own twist on the songs, oftentimes adding a Korean rap or vocal section to the songs.

Though it has been over a year since the ATEEZ leader’s last cover, ATINYs are eagerly waiting to see what solo work he comes out with next!
