Where Are They Now? The 3 Former Members Of MOMOLAND

They’ve all found success in their own ways!

While MOMOLAND was at one point a nine-member group, most K-Pop fans know by now that they currently have six, after three of the members — TaehaYeonwoo, and Daisy — ended up leaving, and left their label MLD Entertainment as well. While it’s always sad to see a member leave a group, it seems that these three girls have still found success and happiness in the career paths they have chosen! Here is where all three former MOMOLAND members are now.

1. Taeha

Prior to joining MOMOLAND, Taeha participated on the competition show Produce 101 as a trainee at Starship Entertainment, where she ended up placing 50th overall. It was after this that she left the company and moved to MLD Entertainment, where she joined as an additional member of MOMOLAND in April of 2017.

Unfortunately, of course, it was announced that she would be leaving the group on November 30, 2019, after almost two years with them. After leaving MLD Entertainment, she joined Inter B.D Entertainment, where she is listed as a soloist. In July of 2020, she started her own YouTube channel where she posts covers of songs, and she also has a personal Instagram that she posts on regularly!

2. Yeonwoo

Yeonwoo is the only former member on this list that was part of MOMOLAND’s original seven-member line-up, and debuted with the group in November 2016 after participating in the survival show Finding MOMOLAND. Unfortunately, though, she also ended up leaving the group in November 2019 after three years with them, with the reason being that she wanted to focus on her career as an actress under MLD Entertainment.

Nothing seems to have come from that agreement, however, and she left the company in 2021. It was recently announced on January 19, 2022 that she had signed an exclusive contract with 9ato Entertainment as an actress! This is what the label had to say about the deal.

We are very happy to have Yeonwoo, an actress with many talents, join our agency. We plan to support Yeonwoo to the fullest so that she can showcase her abilities freely.

Like Taeha, Yeonwoo also has a personal Instagram account that she posts on regularly, as well as a YouTube channel, though no content has been posted on it yet.

3. Daisy

Prior to joining MLD Entertainment, Daisy was a trainee at JYP Entertainment, and could have been a member of TWICE; however, she ended up moving to the other label before the competition show SIXTEEN began, and she participated on Finding MOMOLAND instead. While she didn’t originally make the final line-up, she joined MOMOLAND along with Taeha in March 2017.

Most MOMOLAND fans are probably aware of the rigging allegations towards Finding MOMOLAND from Daisy, as well as the conflict that occurred between her and MLD Entertainment after she was prevented from promoting with the group starting in May 2019 and unallowed to break her contract without a huge fee. After a long legal battle with the label, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in Daisy’s favor, and she was able to leave the company officially as well as receive a large amount of unpaid earnings.

Just earlier today, Daisy did a Q&A on her personal Instagram account, during which she did confirm that she had left MLD Entertainment and said that she hadn’t spoken to the other members of MOMOLAND since 2019. While her career plans for the future aren’t known yet, it sounds like she is in a much better place now than she used to be!
