The Current 10 Most Beautiful Korean Actresses, According To Fans

On June 28, Korean entertainment website Kpopmap posted the results for the fan-voted most handsome Korean actors for June, as well as the most beautiful actresses. Out of 42 nominees, 10 actresses on the latter poll rose to the top, and these are the results from the fans’ votes!

10. Kim Ji Won

Kim Ji Won had her first acting role in the drama Mrs. Saigon, but was first drew more attention after she starred in the sitcom High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged in 2011. She won her first award — the “New Star Award” at the SBS Drama Awards — for her role in the 2013 drama The Heirs. She had her first leading role in the 2017 drama Fight for My Way, and has most recently starred in the 2020-2021 drama Lovestruck in the City.

9. Son Ye Jin

Son Ye Jin’s career began in 2000 where she voice acted for a role in the film Secret Tears. By 2001, she already had her first leading role for Delicious Proposal, and her popularity as an actress steadily increased since then, in South Korea as well as other East Asian countries such as China and Japan. By 2006, she was named the highest-paid actress in Korean television, and has won a total of 51 awards out of 72 nominations!

8. Park Shin Hye

Park Shin Hye first came into the public eye for her role in the 2003 drama Stairway to Heaven at just 13 years old. She had her first lead role in 2006’s Tree of Heaven, and won her first award for her part in the 2010 film Cyrano Agency (the “Most Popular Actress” award at the Baeksang Arts Awards). Since then, she’s won 30 awards out of 51 nominations, and her most recent appearance was in the 2020 film The Call.

7. Bae Suzy

Suzy started her career in 2010 as a member of the K-Pop idol group Miss A. She debuted as an actress in the 2011 drama Dream High, which ended up earning her both the “Best New Actress” and “Best Couple” (along with co-star Kim Soo Hyun) awards at the KBS Drama Awards that year. She’s the first Korean female celebrity to win a singer rookie award, drama rookie award, film rookie award, and variety rookie award, and has won a total of 34 awards in the entirety of her career! Her most recent role was in the 2020 drama Start Up.

IU may be more well-known for her solo musical career, but she also has a thriving acting career that began in 2011 with the drama Dream High. In 2013, she had her first lead role in the television series You’re the Best, Lee Soon-shin, and between then and now, she has won several awards for her acting. She’s arguably best-known for her lead role in Hotel del Luna in 2019, and she’s currently set to play the lead role in the upcoming 2021 films Dream and Broker.

5. Kim Go Eun

Kim Go Eun was first thrust into the spotlight for her lead role in the 2012 film A Muse, which earned her several “Best New Actress” awards that year. After a two-year break to finish her college degree, she starred in a couple more films and made her television debut in 2016 with the drama Cheese in the Trap. She has since played lead roles in other popular dramas, and her most recent project is the upcoming drama Yumi’s Cells.

4. Park Eun Bin

Park Eun Bin started her acting career at the age of five in 1998 with the television series White Nights 3.98, and had dozens of child acting roles in her younger years. Her first leading role was for the 2012 drama Operation Proposal, and though she didn’t have another leading role until 2017’s Judge vs Judge, she’s played several lead parts since then. Her most recent appearance was in the 2020 musical romance drama Do You Like Brahms?.

3. Kim Hye Yoon

Kim Hye Yoon debuted as an actress in 2013 with the television drama Samsaengi, and after just one more appearance in 2014 in the crime thriller Bad Guys, spent several years earning her college degree in film studies and only made guest appearances in dramas from 2015 until 2019. She won her first award, the “Best New Actress” award at the Baeksang Arts Awards, for her role in the 2019 satire drama Sky Castle. She’s gone on to win more awards for her acting since then, and her most recent project is the upcoming television series Snowdrop.

2. Kim Yoo Jung

Kim Yoo Jung began acting when she was just 4 years old, and by the time she was in fifth grade, she had starred in 13 television dramas and 15 movies. She won the “Best Child Actress” award in 2008 for the series Iljimae, and her popularity skyrocketed after her appearance in the 2012 drama Moon Embracing the Sun. Her first adult leading role was for the 2016 series Love in the Moonlight, which won her more of her current 18 awards. Most recently, she’s going to appear in the upcoming mystery-thriller film The 8th Night.

1. Kim So Hyun

Kim So Hyun debuted as a child actress in 2006 with a supporting role in the drama Drama City, and played many child counterparts to female protagonists in television series after that. She ended up being dubbed the “Queen of Child Actors” by the Korean press due to her high praise, and received her first award as “Best Child Actress” for her role in the 2012 series Ma Boy and Missing You at the 1st K-Drama Star Awards. Her first adult role was in 2017’s The Emperor: Owner of the Mask, and she went on to star in several series after that. In total, she’s won 21 awards out of 33 nominations, and her most recent appearance was in the 2021 drama River Where the Moon Rises.
