1. Kingdom

Anyone who watches Run BTS! knows that Jin isn’t a fan of real-life zombies, but TV shows? That’s a different story! On Weverse, Jin talked about the Kingdom with fans, even threatening to drop spoilers.

Kingdom is a genre-bending horror series that combines political intrigue with history and zombies. It follows Lee Chang, the Crown Prince of Joseon, as he investigates a mysterious illness that leads to a deadly epidemic in the 16th century.

2. Jirisan

On November 7, 2021, tvN K-Drama Jirisan‘s OST “Yours” by Jin was released. The song made its debut on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart at No. 1 and broke over a dozen records in the first week of its release.

Jirisan follows a group of rangers at the Jirisan National Park who trek through dangerous conditions to rescue accident survivors and lost hikers.

3. Princess Mononoke

While recommended Howl’s Moving Castle to fans, Jin recommended this Studio Ghibli classic. Princess Mononoke is about an Emishi prince, who witnesses the struggle between forest gods and human beings.

4. One Piece

Several BTS members are fans of this long-running, classic anime series. One Piece is about Monkey D. Luffy, a boy with a rubber-like body, and his crew as they search for a famous pirate’s treasure.

5. Dragon Ball Z

When BTS are asked about their favorite shows, Jin often names this action-packed series.

Dragon Ball Z, the sequel to Dragon Ball, follows Son Goku as he defends planet Earth against an array of alien villains, androids, magical beings, and more.

6. Pretty Woman

If you love classic rom-coms, this movie is for you! Pretty Woman is a 1990 film about a down-on-her-luck prostitute who is hired by a rich businessman to attend social functions with him. What begins as a business arrangement ends in love.

7. Parasyte

Jungkook and Jin have both recommended Parasyte, a horror anime about a teen who uses the power of a parasitic alien to fight back against Earth’s extraterrestrial invaders.

8. The Matrix Trilogy

In an interview for BTS’s ARMY.Zip, Jin named The Matrix movies as some of his favorites. The Matrix is a 1999 science fiction action film in which human beings are trapped in a simulated reality. A team of rebels fights back against the machines who are using the simulation to feed on humanity’s energy.

9. Boys Over Flowers

Boys Over Flowers is one of the most famous K-Dramas of all time, released in 2009. It follows a working-class girl at a prestigious high school who becomes entangled with F4, a quartet of rich, popular boys.
