Koreaboo is a digital media company that creates and shares viral Korean pop culture content, in English, to readers from around the world. Koreaboo content is viewed by 40M users, from more than 100 different countries, every month across multiple platforms.

Koreaboo is also the co-founder and creator of KCON, a Korean pop culture convention and music festival held annually in more than 7 different countries with 200,000+ attendees in 2017.

Koreaboo Inc. was founded in the U.S. and operates internationally in Seoul, Canada, the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Partnerships

On January 3, 2015, Koreaboo and Korean media portal Dispatch announced that they had entered into an exclusive partnership to deliver Dispatch’s Korean content in real-time in English through Koreaboo.

On January 5, 2015, Koreaboo and TV Report also announced an exclusive partnership, which allows TV Report’s wide variety of Korean news to be translated and consistently covered by Koreaboo before other international media sites.

In 2010, Koreaboo created and produced the first K-Pop Idol Auditions held exclusively on YouTube, in partnership with Cube Entertainment. During these auditions, Wendy, now part of SM Entertainment’s girl group Red Velvet was discovered by Koreaboo and fast-tracked to the final round.

In 2012, Koreaboo formed the first ever K-Pop panel at SXSW along with CJ America and Mnet America.
